Java Jazz Festival 2012 Siap Digelar, Paul “The Beatles” McCartney Siap Tampil?

Event Jazz tahunan terbesar se-asia tenggara, Jakarta International Java Jazz Festival sudah dipersiapkan untuk kembali digelar pada 2012 mendatang. Penggemar music Jazz dari berbagai komunitas sudah menyiapkan diri dan ‘dana’ untuk menyaksikan event Jazz paling dinanti tiap tahun ini. Tak hanya itu, sederet nama artis Jazz dunia juga sudah mewarnai polling wishlist artis yang diharapkan tampil diJakarta International Java Jazz Festival 2012 nanti.

Meski belum ada konfirmasi resmi mengenai daftar artis yang dipastikan tampil, namun berbagai rumor sudah beredar dikalangan penikmat musik. Isu yang paling dinantikan adalah adanya kabar bahwa Paul McCartney akan tampil pada event Java Jazz Festival 2012. Mantan bassist band The Beatles yang juga sukses bersolo karir tersebut dikabarkan akan tampil bersama big band membawakan lagu The Beatles dengan aroma yang jazzy.

Demikian tulis bos promotor Java Production Peter Gontha dalam akun twitternya. Hal ini tentu memicu reaksi positif dari para penggemar The Beatles. Namun sayang, Peter belum mengkonfirmasikan lebih lanjut mengenai kabar tersebut.

Meski demikian, pihak penyelenggara Java Jazz Festival tidak memungkiri kebenaran kabar tersebut. Menurut mereka, saat ini pihak penyelenggara memang sedang melakukan kontak dengan sederet artis yang diharapkan mengisi Jakarta International Jazz Festival 2012, termasuk juga dengan manajemen Paul McCartney. Namun hingga saat ini, mereka belum dapat memberikan kepastian siapa saja yang sudah menandatangani kontrak untuk tampil.

Hingga saat ini, belum ada kabar lebih lanjut tentang acara Jakarta International Jazz Festival 2012 yang rencananya akan digelar pada tanggal 2, 3 dan 4 Maret 2012 nanti. Namun penyelenggara menjanjikan akan sesegera mungkin memberikan nama artis beserta jadwal tampil begitu kontrak selesai ditandatangani.
